Each month, Pope Francis puts forward a prayer intention and asks Catholics around the world to join him in prayer. These monthly prayer intentions reflect the concerns of the Holy Father for the humanity and the sacred mission of the Catholic Church.
For the month of April, we are joined by Fiona from Catholic Mission – Brisbane in a prayer for the role of women. Women have been role models, teachers, nurturers for us all and we pray that they continue to be. We also pray that the dignity and immense value of women be recognised in every culture, and for the end of discrimination that they experience in different parts of the world.
Pope Francis’ Monthly Prayer Intention – April 2024 – Transcript
My name is Fiona Ng and I am the Parish Engagement Coordinator for Catholic Mission. As a woman and as a Mother with three daughters I am honoured to share this month’s prayer intention for the role of women. Women have been role models, teachers, nurturers for us all and we pray that they continue to be.
Let us pray for the role of women. We pray that the dignity and immense value of women be recognised in every culture, and for the end of discrimination that they experience in different parts of the world. Amen.
