Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent; a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

This years start to the holy season was one like no other in our Archdiocese. Sadly, some of our Churches were affected by the extreme weather over the weekend and were forced to abandon plans for the traditional Mass due to flooding. These Churches have postponed their blessings and distribution of the ashes to the weekend.
