Part-time and Casual Positions available
Centacare Child Care Services, an agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, is seeking to appoint a part time and a casual Children's Services Employee at St Ignatius Parish Outside School Hours Care at Toowong.
St Ignatius Parish OSHC is a 75 place service. This service is an integral part of the school and parish community. We provide a safe environment of care to working families with the choice of before and after school care as well as vacation care, designed to cater to their children's age, skills, interests and abilities.
Additionally, we also provide flexible and adaptable child-initiated program incorporating children's ideas, cultures and interests to allow for opportunities for discovery, exploration, creativity and choice. We strive to foster an environment that celebrates diversity and interdependence. We encourage children to value and respect the individual uniqueness, spirituality and contribution of others.
Hours: Part time - 15 hours per week (minimum), Casual - up to 10 hours per week

Remuneration: as per the Children's Services Modern Award 2010. Level 1.1 - 3.4 $20.2684 - $31.0165 (depending on qualifications and experience).

  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services

Job Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services (or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines) or demonstrate a willingness to complete the studies
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
  • Conversant with school aged care framework My Time Our Place
  • Experience in the education and care of children
  • Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
