Archbishop Mark is in Rome as President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference to participate in the Pope’s Summit on Child Protection. Taking part are Bishops and Leaders of religious orders from right across the Catholic world and, most importantly, survivors of abuse, whose voice will be heard during the 4 day gathering: “We’ve come a long way, but the further we go the further we see we have to go…it will have to be a part of a long journey with many steps into the future, and I’ll be keen to see what actions are proposed beyond the meeting itself…”
