Fr Isaac prays for all souls, both known and unknown, who have gone before us and now await the fullness of God’s presence in purgatory. We lift our hearts in prayer, asking the Lord to purify them and draw them into the peace and joy of heaven. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Hello. My name’s Fr Isaac, I’m from Maroochydore Catholic Parish. And today we celebrate All Souls Day. It’s a day that we remember and commemorate all of the faithful departed. So please join me in prayer.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Dear God of Mercy, we pray this day for all souls, both known and unknown to us, who, although touched by death, have not yet entered Your Heavenly Kingdom. While they loved you in their lifetime, they failed in some way to attain the perfection Heaven demands. So in our love for them, we offer our prayers, our small works of mercy in the hope that Your mercy will flow to them and bring them to eternal peace with You. May they intercede for us, who continue on life’s journey, for the graces we may need to live out our life on earth in perfection and obedience and love of You, our Father, so that we, too, may join with them in everlasting life with You in Heaven. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
