The Archdiocese of Brisbane has been made aware that one of its priests has been charged with a sexual offence.
The Archdiocese understands that the charge relates to an alleged offence in the 1990s.
The priest has notified the Archdiocese of the charge and has withdrawn from active ministry.
He will face court later this month.
