We continue to unite our prayers with the intentions of the Holy Father entrusted to us this year. This month, we are blessed to be joined by Eric as we offer our prayers especially for Pope Leo XIV, asking that he may shepherd the Church with a heart full of compassion. We entrust this intention to the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Augustine, his spiritual guide, confident that they will present our prayers before the throne of God.

Hello, my name is Eric Quevauvilliers. I’m joining you today to share the late Pope Francis’ Prayer Intention for the month of June, which is that the world might grow in compassion. Pope Francis said, “Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world”. We You give thanks for Pope Francis’ life, and we pray that Pope Leo XIV will continue Francis’ legacy of compassion. In this spirit, please join me in a prayer for Pope Leo XIV.

Loving and gracious God, we give You thanks and praise for the gift of our new Holy Father, Pope Leo the XIV. Thank You for choosing, in Your divine wisdom, a man of faith, humility, and courage; a servant shaped by the charism of Saint Augustine, who seeks You with a restless heart and longs to build Your city of love and truth. Lord, we praise You for his humanity and his deep desire to walk with Your people, listening, discerning, and leading with compassion and conviction. You have given us in Pope Leo XIV a shepherd of Your own heart, a man formed by community, rooted in contemplation, and alive with the fire of the Gospel. At this time in our Church and in our world, we need a spiritual father, a bridge-builder, a voice of truth and tenderness. Make Pope Leo XIV a channel of Your grace, a sign of unity, and a beacon of hope for all nations. Strengthen him with the wisdom of Your Spirit, surround him with the prayers of the faithful, and guide him always in the footsteps of Christ, the Good Shepherd. We entrust him to You, O Lord, through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, and Saint Augustine, his spiritual guide. Amen.
