Each month, Pope Francis puts forward a prayer intention and asks Catholics around the world to join him in prayer. These monthly prayer intentions reflect the concerns of the Holy Father for the humanity and the sacred mission of the Catholic Church.
For the month of January, we invite you to join us in prayer for for the terminally ill. We pray for the sick who are in the final stages of life, and for their families; may they always receive the necessary medical and human care, and the accompaniment they need
Pope Francis’ Monthly Prayer Intention – February 2024 – Transcript
Hi, my name is Sr Monika Bury and I am a member of the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King for Polish immigrants. Part of my ministry is pastoral work as a chaplain for patients into hospitals in Brisbane.
This month Pope Francis asks us to pray for a special intention relating to my work. I am privileged to be the face and hands of Christ to those going through challenging times. I witness suffering in my ministry and see how the presence of God gives them peace.
I would like to ask you to pray with me for those with a terminal illness and their families. That they may receive the necessary physical and spiritual care and accompaniment. Let’s remember them in our prayer especially this month.
