Pope Francis’ Monthly Prayer Intention – June 2024
God’s people Pope Francis’ Monthly Prayer Intention – June 2024

Each month, Pope Francis puts forward a prayer intention and asks Catholics around the world to join him in prayer. These monthly prayer intentions reflect the concerns of the Holy Father for the humanity and the sacred mission of the Catholic Church.

In June, Pope Francis is focusing his monthly prayer intention on migrants, refugees, and those fleeing from their home countries. Fr Ladu Yanga, drawing from his own experience as a former refugee, reminds us on the hardships these individuals endure being forced out of their homes and living in poor conditions without basic necessities. As Christians, it is our responsibility to offer our prayers and support to migrants and refugees, showing them they are not alone and have a global community standing by their side, as reminded by the Pope that “Christians who welcomes a migrant welcomes Christ.”

All right, brothers and sisters.

This June, the intentions of Holy Father, Pope Francis is to pray for migrants and refugees in our world today. As we all know what is happening currently in our world. Many people are being driven out of their home. I’m talking based on experience that I lived as well. When I was driven out of my own home. I lived in a refugee camp for a long time before arriving in Australia. And believe me, it’s not easy. Once you’ve been driven out of the place, what you call home. You’re living in a poorly condition, you know, a place where you cannot get what, you know, a human being might actually need. So these people are out there, and we all know about it. Whether we see it on the news, or through medias, we know that there are these people out there called migrants and refugees.

So, we need to remember them in our prayers as Christians, that is our job as Holy Father, Pope Francis says to us, that we need to pray for these people. So that what they experience in their lives in all these places in the world. They will know that there are brothers and sisters in the world that are also praying for them.
