Vocation comes from the latin word vocare which means that God calls we respond. Everyone has a vocation – to love God.

Within the vocation we are called to either ordained, religious, single, or married states of life to live out this call to love God.

My favourite saint is St Catherine of Siena who once wrote that – you know where you are supposed to be if you feel as if you could set the world on fire.

I have been a priest for nearly 25 years. Celebrating the Mass and sacraments, being in the joys and sorrows of thousands of people lives.

I am also an international mountaineer climbing the highest peak of every country in the world, and been in the military for 14 years.

Throughout all of these years and experiences I am still firmly called to be a priest, to love God, and set the world on fire with God’s Gospel message.

Where are you called? Ask the question.
