Lawyers for Father Peter Kennedy have responded positively on his behalf to an offer by the Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane, Most Rev. John Bathersby DD to enter into a process of mediation to resolve the current impasse at St Mary’s South Brisbane.
Lawyers for Fr Kennedy have indicated that he is agreeable to the Hon. Ian Callinan AC, former Justice of the High Court of Australia, being appointed as mediator.
The Archbishop is hopeful that through this process a dignified and peaceful outcome can be achieved.
