Tertiary chaplaincy

Chaplains are available and present for what is very often a pivotal intersection in young people’s lives.

Tertiary Chaplaincy is a mission carried out to Catholic young adults on various campuses* throughout South East Queensland. It aims to ensure the opportunities for faith formation do not end with the completion of year 12.

Chaplains are available and present for what is very often a pivotal intersection in young people’s lives – the point where newfound freedoms and turning 18 merge with the responsibilities of study and adult life.

Through a mix of drop in-centres and peer ministry offered by on-campus groups, the ideal Tertiary Chaplains strive towards in ministering to students is for a continued pathway of spiritual development and the formation of young Catholic adults who can speak intelligently and engagingly about their faith.

*at some campuses an Ecumenical Chaplaincy service is offered
