Sr Damian is celebrating 60 years of faith and service with the Sisters of St Paul de Chartres Australia. Her journey embodies the congregation’s mission to serving through education, healthcare, and pastoral care, living out Vatican II’s call to universal holiness. We give thanks for her faithful witness and pray her example inspires others to be living witnesses of the Gospel. May Our Lady’s intercession guide Sr Damian as she continues to be “all things to all people” in the spirit of St Paul.

Yes, it’s really marvelous, I couldn’t imagine because when I entered the convent it was in Rome and it was the time when Vatican II just finished. It’s a really significant period in the history of the Church. So I was very, very blessed with all the learning there in Rome of the Vatican documents. That helped me to build up my not only faith in God, faith in the Church He had founded being so close to the Church. So now after sixty years, I could only have gratitude and thankfulness for God. For helping me, guiding me, through thick and thin and all this, yes.
