Learning and Development (Training) Specialist

Centacare is the social services arm of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane and has been operating in South East Queensland for over 60 years. Based at Paddington, an exciting opportunity exists with the Catholic Early EdCare People and Culture team for an experienced Learning and Development / Training Specialist on a 9 month maternity leave contract, to take responsibility for the delivery of existing training programs in addition to the creation of learning and development content that will enhance the employee experience. This role is highly consultative and supports the development and delivery of effective learning and organisational development initiatives aligned with Centacare's strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate presents with:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Learning and Development /training role
  • Strong business acumen attained in a corporate environment
  • A commercially focused and pragmatic approach to L&D outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to being a confident facilitator/presenter
  • Demonstrated business partnering/internal consulting experience across significantly varied stakeholder groups.
  • Instructional design experience in the development of workshop-based end user training materials and documentation
  • Ideally has experience with elearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline
  • Innovation in capability development strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage time in a rapidly changing learning environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a visible passion for people development
  • Relevant undergraduate degree
  • Professionally recognised training/L&D qualifications TAE 40116
