Youth ministry
If the young are given the right experience, then the Catholic Church is still the greatest show on earth and Jesus as irresistibly attractive now as he ever was.
Archbishop Mark Coleridge

Young people are best helped by a set of faith development opportunities which integrates their faith with everyday experience.

It all starts with encounter.

Young people have to meet Jesus; crucified and risen, and view him as someone very much present in our lives here and now, not as some role model from long ago.

To help foster this life-giving interaction, the Archdiocese promotes numerous faith development opportunities for children and young people in family, parish and deanery settings.

It also facilitates participation in broader church events such as World Youth Day, which underscore the universal nature of the Catholic faith and surprise by illustrating the huge numbers, richness and diversity of young people still following the faith in other countries around the world.

If the young are given the right experience, then the Catholic Church is still the greatest show on earth and Jesus as irresistibly attractive now as he ever was.
